Agoda is a total rip-off - they are either totally incompetent or untrustworthy! I recently booked a 'single room with a shared bathroom' in a 'hostel' in New York only to be given a bed in a dirty kitchen(!) with two other strangers. It was so bad that I left after one night and the owner made money from me without providing any service. Agoda customer service did everything to AVOID being held responsible and refused to give me a refund. Once they have your money, they don't care about you.

"I received a call from a Hong Kong-based phone number. The caller tried to assist me very easily in clear English. They informed me that they refunded the full amount. Thank you. This conversation was smooth, but establishing a more accessible call center with Turkish-speaking staff would provide much better and faster service for resolving future issues. Thanks again. Best regards."
