I’ve been using Agoda for a long time and have made dozens of hotel reservations without any issues—until my recent experience on October 16, 2025, at Le22 Appart Hôtel in Casablanca, Morocco, which caused a major inconvenience. I made the reservation about a month in advance for two people, one night, and paid €38.43 via credit card.
On the morning of October 16, while traveling from Marrakech to Casablanca, I noticed a message on the Agoda system from the hotel, sent at 6:21 a.m., stating that my booking had been canceled. I only saw the message around 7:30 a.m., by which time I was already on the road. The hotel had unilaterally canceled my reservation and sent a short apology message. This left me in a very difficult situation — it was impossible to find a new place to stay on such short notice while traveling.
When I contacted Agoda, they simply informed me that a refund would be issued, but they didn’t offer any alternative solution, such as a new hotel recommendation or compensation. This lack of assistance was extremely disappointing and did nothing to resolve my situation.
I expect Agoda to either restore my canceled reservation or provide accommodation in a centrally located, 4–5 star hotel in Casablanca with a customer rating of 9 or higher. I request full compensation for the inconvenience and stress caused by this experience.
