Aesop Delayed My Skincare Gift Order Despite Charging for Express Shipping
Needing a skincare set for a special occasion, I recently ordered one from Aesop's website and chose express shipping. I assumed everything was good after getting a confirmation email following the order placement. Two days later, well past the estimated delivery date, I received another email claiming "unexpected demand" caused delay to my order. I called customer service right away, but their response took almost twenty-four hours. Their answer is Wait another week or call off the order completely. Just a general "we appreciate your patience," no real apology or recompense was given. Given the premium rates Aesop charges, I expected significantly better treatment. Paying more for express shipment obviously has no meaning to them.
