AEG Electrolux Service Quotes Conflicting Prices for Same Washing Machine Part
My AEG Electrolux brand L76270FL model washing machine broke down on May 1, 2026. I first called the customer service representative, then the authorized service center in central Elazığ. On 05/01/2026, a service technician came to my house, said the door lock mechanism was faulty and needed to be replaced, removed the part, and took it with him. Since that day, the machine has been completely unusable, and I haven't been able to do laundry for 17 days now.
During this time, I've called both the service department and customer service repeatedly. Customer service says they've found the part, while the Elazığ service center says there's no part available. The customer service representative stated that the door lock costs $27, while the service center says they found the same part under a different code and are asking for $86 plus VAT. Being told the same part is both "unavailable" and quoted at different prices under different codes has turned this into a process that completely puts the customer in a difficult position and undermines trust.
The customer service representatives don't even seem to be in sync with each other; one says "the part has been found" while the next day another one says "we have no record of this in our system." A service request has been opened multiple times, but no concrete solution has been provided. When I told the service center that, at the very least, they should put back the faulty part they removed and took with them, they said they could leave the part somewhere and that I would have to go pick it up myself — this is both disrespectful and an irresponsible approach.
Because of how inconsistent, indifferent, and dismissive the central Elazığ authorized service center and customer service have been, leaving the customer completely stranded, my trust in this brand has been completely shattered. I'm writing this complaint primarily so that others don't go through the same ordeal, and so people think twice before buying AEG Electrolux. That said, I'm still requesting that my situation be resolved, and that the problem be fixed with a clear, transparent explanation regarding the part, the service, and the process.
