Defective Product and Inadequate Inspection Process – Adidas Superstar

On November 10, 2024, I purchased a pair of adidas Superstar shoes from the adidas store located in Forum Istanbul. Shockingly, within just one month of normal, light usage, the inner lining of both shoes showed significant wear, resulting in holes. Additionally, visible cracks began to appear between the sole and the upper part of the shoes over time. On July 13, 2025, I returned to the same store to submit the product for inspection under warranty. However, on July 31, 2025, I was informed that my request had been rejected with no clear explanation provided — a response that felt dismissive and insufficient given the condition of the shoes. Considering the minimal duration and intensity of usage, the damage sustained cannot reasonably be attributed to user error. The premature deterioration clearly indicates a manufacturing or material defect. As a global brand, adidas is expected to stand behind the quality of its products and ensure a fair resolution process for its customers. Unfortunately, neither the product quality nor the handling of my complaint reflects the brand values adidas claims to uphold. I find this situation unacceptable and am extremely disappointed by the lack of accountability shown. My Request: I am requesting either a full refund or a replacement pair of the same model, free from defects. If my concern is not resolved promptly, I will be compelled to escalate the matter to the Consumer Arbitration Board and other relevant authorities.
