On November 10, 2024, I purchased a pair of Adidas Superstar shoes for my daughter from the Sporjinal store at Ankara Forum AVM. She wore them briefly in February 2025, then not at all until April, and used them regularly only until June 27, 2025—a total of about 3 to 3.5 months of active use.

Despite such limited wear, the shoes developed edge separations and the inner lining tore apart. Considering they come with a 2-year warranty and cost ₺4,200—four times more than average shoes—I submitted them for a warranty review through the retailer. Adidas rejected the claim, citing user error. I didn’t accept the decision and requested a second inspection, but once again it was dismissed without a proper explanation.

The photos I attached clearly show the condition of the shoes after only a few months of light use. Unless someone is wearing sandpaper socks or walking 50 km a day, there's no way they should fall apart this quickly. And let’s be honest—my daughter is a teenager who barely moves to get a glass of water.

Meanwhile, a different brand of shoes we bought for ₺800 is still holding up without a single scratch after even longer use.

Adidas is clearly no longer the brand it once was. The quality has dropped, and the so-called warranty is meaningless. I will never purchase Adidas again, and I plan to officially file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board.

If a shoe can’t survive three months of moderate use, then offering a two-year warranty is nothing more than a marketing illusion designed to mislead consumers.
