Acer Quoted a Motherboard Repair That Costs More Than a New Laptop
On January 5, 2026, when I contacted the service center regarding my Acer notebook, model Acer NG-AN515-46-R2C7, I was told that the motherboard needed to be replaced and that the service fee being requested for this repair was even higher than the price of a brand-new computer.
I find this requested amount to be excessive and completely unreasonable. I discussed the issue with both the service center and Acer customer support, but they were unable to clearly and satisfactorily explain the justification for such a high fee. I believe this situation is not in line with the brand value of Acer or with the transparency that consumers should be entitled to.
I am requesting that the service fee demanded for the motherboard replacement be reduced to a reasonable level, that all cost components be clearly and understandably explained to me, and that the hardship I am experiencing be properly addressed.
