Acer Aspire A3 Not Charging

When I plug my Acer Aspire A3 into the charger, I hear the charging sound briefly, but it stops almost immediately—as if the power is turning on and off quickly. After the charging stops, both the charging light on the side and a light with a bulb symbol start flashing at the same time. I don’t think the charging cable is broken, so I’m wondering what might be causing this issue and whether it will be expensive to fix. I have already tried plugging it into different outlets, but the problem remains the same. The battery doesn’t charge at all, and the laptop turns off once the remaining charge runs out. This makes it impossible for me to use the device without constantly being worried about it shutting down.
