Academia.edu Unauthorized Premium Membership Charge

I discovered that an Academia.edu Premium membership was started through my account without my knowledge or consent. Even though I have never actively used any of the services associated with this membership, I noticed an unauthorized charge of **$61** on my Garanti Bank card on September 26, 2026. The transaction appears on my bank statement with the description “academia* SU-SATIS.”

I was not notified about this charge beforehand, nor was I given any opportunity to review or confirm the payment. I do not accept being charged on my card without my knowledge or explicit consent.

I request that the unauthorized **$61** charge be refunded to my card as soon as possible and that the necessary checks and security measures be implemented to ensure that no further unauthorized charges are made through my account.
