My Zara Fabric Trousers Shrunk and the Store Manager Treated Me Poorly

I recently purchased a pair of fabric trousers from Zara and followed the washing instructions carefully. However, the trousers shrank in length after washing. I visited the Zara store in Akbatı to report this issue. The store manager inspected the product and requested that I try it on to verify if it had indeed shrunk, which I found odd since it was visibly shorter even when held up. I offered to show her the length by holding it against me, but she insisted that I try it on. After waiting for nearly an hour in line for the fitting room, I finally tried on the trousers. The manager then carefully examined me from every angle before reluctantly admitting, “Yes, it has indeed shrunk,” and accepted the return. I find this entire process unacceptable. No other retail sector—whether large or small businesses—treats customers like this. Typically, customer declarations are enough. To be treated this way by a brand like Zara is extremely disappointing. I reported the situation to Customer Service while in the store, and afterwards, I politely informed the manager, saying, "I’ve just spoken with Customer Service, and what you did was inappropriate." The manager responded with a sarcastic and dismissive tone, saying, "Good for you, thank you very much." I genuinely wonder what kind of skills, knowledge, or character qualities led to this person becoming a store manager. This experience has been completely contrary to the level of service I expected from a global brand like Zara.
