Unjust Deductions at Yapi Kredi Bank and Customer Struggles in Earthquake Zones
As a Yapi Kredi Bank customer living in an earthquake zone, I have faced unfair interest deductions for two separate billing periods, despite the deferment of credit card debt payments in such zones. Frustrated by the lack of response from customer service representatives, I contacted the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK). The agency stepped in, and the two deductions were reversed. However, deductions were made again in the most recent month, and once again, I was unable to obtain a satisfactory response from a customer representative. It's unclear that previous deductions were canceled under the same circumstances, but the most recent deduction is still pending. It is clear that the bank's officials are incapable of discovering the truth unless pushed, or their perspective has become so distorted that they can deduct 178 lira from a loyal customer of 30 years who is already burdened by the earthquake. I must say, unjustly. It is unfair to make deductions under the same circumstances if previous deductions were canceled. As a result, I will contact the BDDK once more and file a complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board for a refund, including legal interest. The purpose of writing this is to shed light on the bank's plight. If I can close my debt, I will say damn it and close my account...
