Unauthorized Hong Kong Charges Appeared on My Yapı Kredi World Credit Card

I am writing regarding a serious security issue I have experienced with my Yapı Kredi Worldcard. On 31 May 2026 at approximately 02:33 AM, two consecutive transactions of 810 TL each were made from Hong Kong without my knowledge or authorization. These transactions were not initiated by me, and I did not provide any consent or approval for them. As soon as I became aware of these unauthorized transactions, I immediately contacted Yapı Kredi customer service and had my Worldcard blocked. I was informed that because the transactions were still in the provision stage, no action could be taken at that moment and that I would only be able to submit a suspicious transaction complaint after the transactions were reflected on my account. I was also told that, following my objection, an investigation process would be initiated and that the result could be communicated to me within up to 120 days. I do not know how my card information was obtained or compromised. I expect the bank to intervene more quickly and effectively in the face of these fraud-suspected transactions, to investigate the situation in detail, to cancel the transactions that were made without my knowledge, and to refund the total amount to my account without causing any loss on my part. Due to this security weakness and the unauthorized use of my card, I am in a victimized and anxious situation both financially and in terms of personal data security. I request that this matter be handled urgently, that the necessary steps be taken to prevent similar incidents from recurring, and that I be informed in writing about the outcome of the investigation and the actions taken.
