On April 10, 2025, I received a voice call on WhatsApp from a number starting with the +20 country code, which I later found out belongs to Egypt. I did not answer the call, and it disconnected shortly after. I have no personal or business relationship with anyone in Egypt, so this call was extremely suspicious and unsettling.
After doing some research, I discovered that many other users have received similar calls and lodged complaints. This clearly points to a widespread issue, and I am now seriously concerned about the security of my personal information on WhatsApp. How are these unknown callers gaining access to our private phone numbers? Who are they and what is their intent?
I am officially filing a complaint and want to state that if my account is ever compromised, if my private data, messages, or photos are accessed, or if any unauthorized activity is carried out under my name—such as creating a company, making purchases, or generating debt—I will not accept any responsibility. I hold WhatsApp fully accountable for any consequences stemming from this breach of user safety.
