I received an unsolicited WhatsApp message from a number starting with +91, which I verified belongs to India. I have absolutely no personal or business connection to this country, making the contact completely unexpected and uncomfortable.
I immediately blocked the number, but I’m still deeply concerned about how and why my phone number was reachable by such a contact. I worry that my WhatsApp account, phone number, or personal data may have been compromised or used without consent.
I want to clearly state that if any unauthorized activity occurs—such as identity theft, access to private messages or photos, the creation of companies in my name, purchases, or fraudulent debts—I will not accept any responsibility. All liability will rest solely with WhatsApp for failing to protect its users.
I demand WhatsApp secure my account, explain how this occurred, and take immediate steps to prevent such breaches. Users deserve better protection from unknown and potentially malicious international contacts.
