In the free version of WeTransfer, you cannot check whether the recipient has downloaded the file — the service simply sends the link without tracking the recipient’s actions.
In the WeTransfer Pro plan and above, there is a download tracking feature:
Log into your Pro account.
Go to the Transfers (Sent files) section.
Select the desired transfer — it will show the download date, number of downloads, and even the IP addresses of those who downloaded.
If you sent the file as a link instead of via email, the statistics will be more limited — the service won’t know exactly who downloaded it, only the total number of downloads.
