Western Union Uses My Phone Number for Unapproved Transfer
On June 24, 2024, I received notification from Western Union stating that transfer MTCN 9311566530 under reference B078 was successfully received. According to Western Union customer service, this transaction was conducted using my phone number. However, I did not initiate such a transaction. It should not be possible for Western Union branches to use any phone number not associated with the sender for transfer transactions. I do not consent to transactions being made using my phone number. I explicitly declare that I will not accept responsibility for any illegal activities that may occur or have occurred. The failure to receive confirmation messages when money is sent, and the receipt of confirmation only after the recipient has received the money, is an error on Western Union's part.
