WeChat Sent Me a Verification Code Despite Never Creating an Account

Around 5:47 p.m. on June 14, I received an SMS verification code on my phone number from an application called WeChat. I have never used this application and have never registered or logged in with my phone number before, so I do not know whether someone attempted to log in using my number or if it was only a verification attempt.

This situation concerns me both from a security perspective and because I received an unexpected SMS. I request that my Türk Telekom phone line be thoroughly reviewed for security purposes, that any WeChat or similar app accounts accessed using my number be deleted, and that if there has been any unauthorized use in the past, it not be associated with me.

I do not want to be held responsible for any unauthorized activity or actions carried out without my knowledge, and I kindly request that all necessary security measures be taken to prevent misuse of my phone number.
