Can’t Join WeChat: QR Code Referral System Preventing New Account Setup

When I try to create a new account on the WeChat app, the screen displays a QR code and instructs that it must be scanned by another WeChat user to complete the registration. However, since I don’t know anyone who uses WeChat, I cannot complete this verification process.

I am using an Android phone and downloaded the app from Google Play. The phone number I’m using has never been linked to any WeChat account before.

I’ve been encountering the same issue for several days, and there is no alternative verification method provided. I kindly request that the referral or QR code requirement be removed or that an alternative verification option (such as SMS, email, or ID verification) be added to allow new users to register more easily.
