I’ve been trying to create a WeChat account on my Xiaomi 9T Android phone, but I’m completely stuck in the QR code verification step.
I tried registering through Facebook, successfully passed the license agreement and bot verification, but the app keeps asking me to scan a QR code from another WeChat user’s account.
For the past 3 days, I’ve repeatedly tried on different devices and internet connections, but every attempt ends with the same issue. Sometimes I get error messages like “operation too frequent,” “network error,” or “invalid operation.”
My app is up to date and was downloaded directly from the Google Play Store.
I’m requesting that WeChat make the registration process easier by providing an alternative to the QR code verification or removing the requirement entirely so new users can actually create accounts without depending on existing ones.
