I Face Price Discrimination Booking Dosinia Hotel on Vio.com
I live in Germany and booked a stay at Dosinia Hotel through Vio.com, a European travel site. The hotel’s local rate is ₺55,000 per night, but Vio.com charged me €1,050 (roughly ₺37,000). On booking day, I immediately called the hotel to confirm my reservation. For four days they gave only vague responses like “Your reservation is pending.” After waiting, they finally told me, “You live in Germany and booked on the Netherlands site, so we can’t accept your reservation.”
Even if the hotel had honored the booking, I wouldn’t stay there after this blatant “price discrimination” and unprofessional behavior. They clearly offered locals one rate and Europeans another—apparently targeting me as a Turkish customer.
I demand an immediate full refund of €1,050 from Vio.com and a public explanation of this discriminatory pricing policy.
