Viagogo Switched My Floor Seats to Limited View at Last Minute
I bought tickets months in advance through Viagogo for the January 27 Tarkan concert. I paid $571 USD for two floor tickets. The platform stated that ticket delivery would take place at 6:00 PM on the day of the event. When the tickets were not delivered, I started chatting with live support. They told me they could not deliver the tickets and that they were escalating the issue to higher authorities. I spent a full 1 hour and 20 minutes in chat and had already been waiting in line for five hours. I repeatedly said I did not want a cancellation — I wanted my tickets. By that time, the venue doors had already opened.
Instead, they sent me a ticket labeled only with a block/section name. While verifying my identity, they also asked for my credit card information, which I refused to provide. I accepted the ticket that was sent, and once it opened, I realized it had restricted view seating. When I said I did not want it, they responded that I had already accepted it.
After speaking with others, I came to understand what had happened. They sell you a ticket at a very high price, then claim there is an issue with delivery, and under stress you end up accepting a different ticket. I believed I had purchased an $229 USD ticket for $571 USD, but instead I ended up with a ticket worth approximately $86 USD.
