Stay Away from Viagogo! A Warning for Those Who Don't Want to Experience Similar Experiences

Although the price isn't very high, I want to share a complaint I had. Be careful, don't even bother with Viagogo! This platform doesn't organize events; it's practically a rip-off. The Problem We're Having: We made the wrong decision to buy tickets for a concert in May through Viagogo. The concert was canceled for political reasons. I was actually wondering if it would be canceled, but as they say... We had our prudence and bought them. We paid a total of €315 for two tickets (~€158 per person). When the concert day arrived, a cancellation announcement was made on the official Instagram page. Oddity #1: We Paid More Than the Ticket Price! When we received the tickets, we discovered they said "2,750 TL." Based on the May 2025 exchange rate, this would be €75-80 per person. So why did we pay €158 per person? Where did the €80 difference go? Oddity #2: They Called it a "Postponement," Not a Cancellation! Viagogo refused to acknowledge the concert's cancellation and told us it was a "postponement." According to their policy, there are no refunds for postponed events! A new date hasn't been announced either. Our refund requests have been rejected. There's not even a direct email address! There's an AI-powered "help" page, and that's a complete dead end. The Result: Our Money's Gone, and the Concert Is Gone! Neither our tickets were refunded, nor were we given a new date. €315 wasted. Be Careful, Stay Away from Viagogo!
