Viagogo Refused to Refund My Jennifer Lopez Tickets After Concert Was Rescheduled
Hello, I purchased two tickets via Viagogo for the Jennifer Lopez concert originally scheduled for July 4 at Festival Park Yenikapı in Istanbul. Each ticket cost $246, and with the site’s commission, I paid a total of $571.30. Later, I found out the concert was postponed to August 5. Since I will be out of town on that date, I wanted to return the tickets.
Despite Viagogo claiming during checkout that refunds are possible, they are now refusing to process any return. I also attempted to resell the tickets on their platform, but the site only offered $79 per ticket. That’s shocking—if the real ticket price is $79, why was I charged over three times that amount?
This means I’m facing a loss of around $167 per ticket and nearly ₺20,000 in total. Viagogo misled me by advertising refundable tickets, then denying refunds and offering a resale value that doesn't come close to the price I paid. And I’m not alone—many other customers are facing the same problem.
I’m deeply dissatisfied and feel taken advantage of. I will never use Viagogo again, and I strongly warn others to stay away. I’m sharing proof of this experience so people can be cautious. Viagogo must take accountability and refund the full amount I paid.
