Vestel Dishwasher Repair Caused Rust On Stainless Steel Items

I recently contacted Vestel’s authorized service for my dishwasher. Several parts were replaced, and I paid over $143 for the repair. However, right after the service, my stainless-steel items such as pots, cutlery, and thermoses began to rust—even though I’ve been using the same detergent and machine for years without issue. The service team checked detergent brand and settings and found no explanation, yet dismissed the issue as a “coincidence,” which I find unacceptable. The problem clearly started after the service intervention. As a consumer, I’m now facing both financial and material loss. If this issue is not resolved immediately, I will file a formal complaint with the Consumer Arbitration Board and request a full refund plus compensation for the damages. I expect Vestel to conduct a proper technical inspection and provide a prompt and fair solution.
Yes, friends, I am addressing everyone who is considering buying white goods: Stay away from Vestel! The dishwasher I had repaired at Vestel service started to rust from the very first wash after the repair. Even though the situation is this clear, Vestel’s response is always the same: 'It’s not related to us, it’s about the product.' The dishes washed in my machine hadn’t rusted for years until I went to Vestel service. After the service, it ended up like this, but they do not accept any responsibility whatsoever. They stall the customer with memorized phrases and do not offer any solutions. There is neither customer satisfaction nor a sense of responsibility at Vestel. Everyone considering buying a dishwasher should be careful. After-sales support is zero, and the customer is left to deal with all the problems.
Yes friends, if you are thinking about buying Vestel, don't, don't, don't. They took the machine and brought it back saying there was no problem with its operation, but my rust problem continues. I will have to buy a new machine, and it hurts that I paid 6,000 TL to the service. The service is terrible; when connecting the machine's water hose, they couldn't attach the hose coming from the tap, and water went everywhere. My machine had scratches three times, and when my spouse asked, they said they would report it to the center, but no one even called. Don't be fooled by the local support talk. I wonder if they treat people abroad the same way they treated us? No to Vestel. There's no end to the damage I've suffered from my rusting items and the service fee I paid. I got burned, don't let yourselves get burned too.
