Vestel Did Not Supply Spare Part for My NFK540 Refrigerator E10 Error

The Vestel NFK540 e gı 540 liter No-Frost refrigerator I purchased in August 2020 gave an E10 error on August 12, 2025. On August 14, service visited and identified a compressor failure. Experiencing such a critical malfunction in a device that is only 5 years old casts doubt on product quality and consumer safety. The service demanded ₺8,000 for the spare part, and I approved it to prevent further problems. However, as of August 21, 2025, the part has still not been supplied, with the excuse that the factory was conducting a manual warehouse count. The fact that in 2025 spare parts cannot be supplied due to manual counting reveals the brand’s weakness in logistics management and lack of vision. During this time, my refrigerator has not worked, and food worth about ₺8,000 has gone to waste. Thus, I was forced to pay ₺8,000 for the repair of the device and also suffered serious financial damage due to food loss. According to the Consumer Protection Law, the seller and manufacturer are responsible for ensuring that the product is free of defects, safe, and has a reasonable lifespan. Spare parts and repair services must be provided within a reasonable time without causing harm to the consumer. The company is obliged to compensate the consumer for financial and moral damages. My request from Vestel is the urgent supply of the spare part and completion of the repair, along with an official apology for this unacceptable grievance. Otherwise, I will exercise my legal rights before the Consumer Arbitration Board and Consumer Courts.

Dear Sir/Madam, In your response sent to me, only your general communication channels and Self Service link were shared, but no solution proposal or concrete step regarding my complaint was provided. My complaint and previous applications submitted to you on this matter are clearly evident. Nevertheless, only a standard response has been given, which results in both a waste of time and a deepening of my grievance. I request that my complaint be resolved urgently and satisfactorily; otherwise, I will pursue all legal remedies before the Consumer Arbitration Board and Consumer Court. Depending on the course of the process, I will also file complaints with CIMER, the Ministry of Trade, and the Advertising Board. If a concrete solution plan is not provided, legal proceedings will be initiated.

A service request was created for my Vestel NFK540 refrigerator on [August 14, 2025]. However, since my device is not working, I am experiencing serious inconvenience in my daily life. Despite my repeated attempts to reach you by phone and email, I have not received any response. This situation further increases my inconvenience. I am aware that, according to Law No. 6502 on the Protection of Consumers and the After-Sales Services Regulation, spare parts must be supplied within 20 business days. Still, in order to reduce my inconvenience during this period; I request that the supply of the part be prioritized, And that a temporary product be provided to reduce my inconvenience during this process.
