UPS Turkey Delayed My Package And Failed Birthday Delivery
My shipment with tracking number 1ZA298C26800219622 was shipped on April 24, 2026, via UPS Turkey, but as of today, April 28, it has still not been delivered. This package was meant to be a birthday gift I promised my child, so it was very important that it arrived today. However, for the past two days, the system has been showing a message similar to “address closed.”
I provided my home address for delivery, not a business address, so I do not understand why the system is indicating that a workplace is closed or using that as a reason for not delivering the package. I also cannot see which branch currently holds my shipment, and I am unable to get clear information about its status.
When I call customer service, I only reach an automated system that repeats that the workplace is closed and suggests filling out an address change form. I cannot connect to a live representative, so I am unable to ask questions or get accurate updates about my package.
My only request from UPS Turkey is that this shipment be delivered to my registered home address as soon as possible, without requiring additional steps, and that I receive clear and accurate information about the delivery process.
Progress
On April 23, 2026 I placed an order on Adidas's website. My order number is atr91251092. On April 24, 2026 the order was handed over to UPS Turkey, and today, April 30, 2026, I am still waiting for the order to arrive. The tracking number is 1ZA298C26800219622. Because the courier could not deliver the package at all, I called Adidas customer service, was connected to a representative at 12:09, and at the end of the call they told me that they had shipped the order, that the matter was now out of their hands, that I needed to contact the courier myself and handle the necessary discussions, and that they were not involved any further. I could not resolve the issue with such an extraordinarily irresponsible representative, because the courier was already another irresponsible party, and the customer service agent I spoke with was a completely different kind of irresponsible person.
At 16:55 on April 30, 2026 I called Adidas customer service again, this time speaking with a representative named Müzeyyen. She treated the case as if her own order had not arrived, kindly sent an email, explained the situation, wrote, described, and somehow made an effort and worked to resolve the issue. However, her efforts, and my own, could not overcome UPS Turkey's incompetence. When I checked the screen that evening, I saw that UPS Turkey had added the following warning to the tracking details: “01/05/2026 1:24 – In transit – The recipient had no invoice information for this package and the recipient refused delivery. / Contacted the sender. Ankara, Turkey.” UPS Turkey is making a false statement – no one called me, no one talked to me, I never refused anything, nor was I called to refuse; on the contrary, I even changed the address so they could actually deliver the package. Still, it didn’t work. Adidas is just as responsible as UPS in this matter. I am sharing this here so that anyone reading can see how disgraceful this is and understand the situation I endured.
"The recipient had no invoice information for this package and refused the delivery. / We contacted the sender," it says. No one is calling me, no one is asking, I haven't spoken to anyone, even though I even changed the address, the shipment still insists on not arriving.
Even if I had to force it, I got the cargo... The box arrived torn and in shambles. Thank goodness it finally arrived... UPS Turkey is a cause for regret. May God protect me from UPS cargo... I have no other request.
