We ordered Camper sandals on Amazon on June 27, but due to Amazon's catalog error, the slipper we received was another model instead of Camper. So I created a return code and the return was supposed to go to the Camper address in Istanbul, but it was sent to the Ankara Camper store. I called Amazon, but they told me that this was my business as a customer and that I should ask UPS to return the product and send it to the correct address, and that's the only way I would get my money back. I called UPS and asked them why they delivered it to the Ankara Camper store when the package had an Istanbul Camper address on it. UPS went to the store they misdelivered it to and asked for the product, but they couldn't find it. (Because the person who picked it up quit work that week, and most importantly, the product was out of stock. No one can do anything when it is not in store stocks. In short, the product is missing.) After long efforts, I was told that I had to write a compensation petition to UPS. In accordance with Article 875 of the Turkish Commercial Code regarding the loss of my cargo dated 9.07.2024 and with the shipment tracking code 1ZX..., I requested that the loss of ₺3,199.20 be paid to the IBAN number TR06 0006 **. However, the answer from UPS was negative! Rejection: Your claim for the relevant tracking number has been carefully and thoroughly reviewed. Your claim has not been accepted because your shipment has been delivered. (They admit that they delivered to the wrong address, but they still make word games and say “delivered”). In addition, they reply that “The company was visited in order to pick up the shipment, but they could not find the package like this and therefore cannot be sent to the address given”! I ask them to send it to the correct address and this is the answer I get! Neither Amazon, nor UPS, nor Camper could find the return package! My return fee has officially evaporated! Because of Amazon's catalog error, my financial and emotional time was stolen and they got away with it. Camper never responded to messages through Amazon, and even refused to send the invoice required for the Consumer Court. UPS, on the other hand, could not find the package it delivered incorrectly and rejected my claim for compensation on a ridiculous grounds. After all, this is Turkey! Rights and justice are suspended! It's hard not to go crazy!
