Credit Card Charged $59 for Uber I Never Used
On June 10, at around 2:44 PM, an unauthorized charge of approximately $59 was made to my credit card through what appeared to be an Uber transaction. I have never downloaded the Uber app, never created an Uber account, and have never used their service even once.
As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted Garanti Bank. My card was placed under protection, my account was temporarily suspended, and I was told the investigation would take approximately 20 days. In the meantime, I am unable to use my card and am suffering real harm because of an app I have never touched.
Regarding this unauthorized charge made in Uber's name, I am requesting an immediate refund of the fraudulent transaction and ask that Uber identify and investigate any fake or unauthorized accounts that may be linked to this charge.
