Turkish Airlines Damaged Luggage Compensation Denied

Turkish Airlines Damaged Luggage Compensation Denied
2

I travelled with Turkish Airlines on flight TK64 on 28 September, and my checked luggage was delayed and only delivered to my hotel in Bangkok the next day. When I received the suitcase, I saw that the handle was broken. Because the damage was discovered only after delivery to the hotel, it was not possible for me to report it before leaving the airport. On 5 October I submitted an online damage report via your website under reference number 2026246970, clearly explaining the situation and providing the necessary information. On 23 October I received a reply stating that my claim was rejected because I should have reported the damage before leaving the airport. I find this response very disappointing, especially as a Turkish Airlines Elite Plus member for over a decade, who chooses your company precisely because I trust the service quality and customer care. In this case, the luggage was delayed and delivered outside the airport, so I did not even have the opportunity to notice and report the broken handle at baggage claim. I kindly request that my case be reconsidered and that I be provided with appropriate monetary compensation for the damaged suitcase and the inconvenience caused by the delay and subsequent handling of my claim. I ask you to review the circumstances in good faith and provide a fair solution.
