Turkish Airlines Changed the Gate Without Any Announcement and Provided Lack of Assistance
I had a flight ticket from Istanbul to Gaziantep. I arrived at the airport approximately two hours before the flight time and completed my check-in process. I started waiting at gate G7A, as indicated on my ticket, about forty-five minutes before boarding. However, about twenty minutes before boarding, I learned that the gate had been changed. I was not informed about this change via SMS, email, or any other means. Additionally, I did not hear any announcements at the airport and was occupied with my young child. I realized the situation twenty minutes before the flight, but the distance to gate G1A was far, and I couldn't make it in time due to my child and pregnancy. I asked many staff members for help, but I received no assistance and even got negative responses like 'I'm going to eat, I don't have to help you' from security. Later, I managed to reach Turkish Airlines officials on my own, but they were not helpful. They told me to follow the monitor and gave many excuses without considering what illiterate people would do. I wanted to transfer to the next flight, but they said there was no space and my ticket was invalid. I was stranded at the airport for about two to three hours.
