I Missed My Flight Due to Inadequate Guidance From Turkish Airlines Staff

On April 26, 2023, at 1:45 PM, I was scheduled to travel from Istanbul New Airport to Sirnak Serafettin Elci Airport. However, due to the inadequate guidance from Turkish Airlines staff, I missed my flight. Despite arriving at the airport about two hours in advance, the staff provided only one barcode instead of two during the firearm check-in process, which took 15 minutes to correct. Later, I was informed that I needed to drop off the stroller at a different location, which took another 15 minutes. The staff’s constant need to consult others caused further delays, making me realize we might miss our flight. Before passing through the X-Ray machine, we had to scan our boarding passes, but the staff mistakenly gave us luggage tags instead. After correcting this mistake, we reached the security checkpoint. We had come to Istanbul for my child's health condition and had medications (creams) with us, but security did not accept them. After a discussion, we managed to reach the gate with the medications, only to be told that the gates had closed five minutes earlier and we would not be allowed to board. Due to these events, I believe Turkish Airlines has committed the offense of depriving a person of their liberty and I request compensation for my losses.

On April 26, 2024, I had a four-person trip from Istanbul's new airport to Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airport. Despite arriving 2 hours before the flight time, I missed my flight due to the incompetent Turkish Airlines staff. I reported this as feedback and also mentioned it on the complaint platform. About a week later, they responded and sent a refund code, but nothing else was written. When I spoke with the sales office, they asked for an email from the sales office stating that a refund would be issued for the flight from Istanbul's new airport to Şırnak Şerafettin Elçi Airport. When I spoke with customer service, they told me to submit new feedback. Once again, the customer is left in a miserable situation, and once again, the incompetent Turkish Airlines staff are doing a sloppy job.
