About Turkish Airlines PrimeFly Refund
I purchased a round-trip PrimeFly class ticket for my Milan flight with Turkish Airlines, costing 9,426 TL. I opted for this more economical ticket because it was labeled as "free cancellation." Given the cumbersome visa processes, I specifically chose this ticket type due to its promise of free refunds up to 12 hours before the flight. However, my visa application was not approved, and I contacted Turkish Airlines to cancel my ticket. To my surprise, they charged me a cancellation fee of 2,514 TL, as quickly as a flash. With almost a week remaining until my flight, if I cancel the ticket today after paying this fee, they will promptly resell it to someone else without incurring any losses. Now, I wonder, is it fair for our national airline to profit from my visa application rejection by imposing a cancellation fee? I'm seeking assistance from the relevant authorities and requesting that the cancellation be made free of charge. In Turkish Airlines' information, it was stated that no deductions would be applied for cancellations and refunds made 12 hours or more before the flight.
