On February 12, 2025, at 07:46, I purchased a 10 GB additional internet package, which was my second extra package purchase in February. At the same time, a 2 GB free YouTube.com package was also added. However, by 09:16, the 10 GB additional internet was already depleted, and 3.6 GB had been consumed from the free 2 GB YouTube package. Despite only watching three music videos and browsing a couple of news pages, a total of 12 GB had been used. Upon further review, Turkcell surprisingly claimed that the data consumption was due to an iCloud backup. However, Apple remotely accessed my phone and confirmed that the last backup was on February 11, 2025. Additionally, no backup was found on iCloud or Google Photos (as my Google storage is full and cannot perform backups).
After this experience, I have decided to cancel all my lines. I no longer recommend Turkcell for my home, workplace, phones, or to anyone around me. All supporting documents are attached. I wonder what kind of explanation will be given. In 2024, the system consumed 20 GB of internet for one hour of navigation usage, but how did it manage to consume 12 GB within an hour in 2025?
