I purchased a flight ticket for two people through Trip.com for the Bogotá–São Paulo–Casablanca–Yaoundé route on March 25. The first flight in my reservation was operated by LATAM Airlines, and this flight was canceled, while the connecting flights with Royal Air Maroc were not canceled.
When I tried to cancel the ticket, Trip.com either did not allow the cancellation or offered a refund with nearly a 90% deduction. When I attempted to make changes, the system showed a higher ticket price than what the airline itself offered for the same flight. Under the name of a “change,” they are asking me to make an additional payment—essentially purchasing a new ticket with a markup and presenting it as a modification. In other words, I am facing serious losses both in cancellation and in changes, as no reasonable or fair pricing is being offered.
Throughout this process, I have also been unable to reach Trip.com customer service, so I have not been able to resolve the issue, and my travel plan remains completely uncertain. Due to the canceled first flight and the excessive deductions and non-transparent pricing in the change/refund process, I am experiencing significant inconvenience.
I request that Trip.com either rebook my itinerary under reasonable conditions without excessive additional fees or provide a full refund with no deductions—or at least a minimal and fair deduction. I ask that my issue be resolved as soon as possible.
