Trip.com Customer Support Did Not Resolve Unexpected Extra Charge
While searching for airline tickets through Skyscanner, I was redirected to the Trip.com website and purchased my ticket there on April 13, 2026, using my Halkbank debit/credit card.
During the purchase process, both the payment screen and the receipt clearly showed the total amount as approximately $835.
However, today when I checked my account activity, I discovered that approximately $862 had actually been charged from my card.
In other words, more than $25 extra was withdrawn compared to the amount shown on the receipt.
There were no additional services, insurance packages, or any other optional charges that I knowingly approved during the payment process. Therefore, this unexpected difference caused serious inconvenience and significantly damaged my trust in the platform.
When I attempted to contact Trip.com regarding the issue, I was only able to communicate with an AI-powered chat system. I could not reach a real customer representative despite repeated attempts, and I have still not received any meaningful response regarding my complaint.
As a result, my issue remains unresolved.
My clear request is that the extra amount charged above the approximately $835 shown on the receipt be refunded to my card in full.
I also expect a clear and transparent explanation regarding why this price difference occurred.
If an immediate refund cannot be processed, I at least request urgent direct communication from Trip.com so that this matter can finally be clarified and resolved properly.
