Trip.com And Azerbaijan Airlines Did Not Help With Medical Flight Change
I purchased a ticket through Azerbaijan Airlines for the Ankara–Baku route covering the dates May 8–12. Later, I wanted to change the trip dates to June 5–9.
From the beginning, I clearly stated that I was willing to pay any fare difference required for the date change. Despite this, I was not given any opportunity to modify the ticket and was effectively forced to cancel it instead.
I originally paid approximately $257 for this ticket, while the amount reflected on my credit card statement was approximately $265. However, after cancellation, I was informed that I would receive only about $25 as a refund.
I contacted both Trip.com and the airline many times. I explained that I had to postpone the trip due to health-related reasons and even stated that I could provide a medical report documenting the situation. Despite this, no meaningful solution was offered and my requested date change was never processed.
I believe refunding only such a small portion of the amount I paid is unfair and completely contrary to customer satisfaction principles.
For this reason, I request either a significantly larger refund of the ticket amount I paid or that my flight dates be changed under reasonable conditions without causing additional financial loss or inconvenience.
