Trendyol Let a Seller Change Name and Avoid Responsibility for Fake Cat Food

On March 18, I ordered Pro Plan sterilized cat food from a seller named “mumcevher” via Trendyol. The product arrived three days later. I have been using this food for years, so I know its smell and form by heart. Instead of turkey, they sent salmon flavor, but since my cats eat both and were out of food, I didn’t bother sending it back. When I opened the package, there was a terrible smell. I checked the expiration date, and it was still valid. However, the kibble had noticeably different colors, some darker and others lighter than usual. Most importantly, neither my cats nor the street cats would eat it. Normally, they rush to eat as soon as I open the box. I went to Trendyol to file a complaint and discovered the seller “mumcevher” had changed their name to “indirgetir.” They told me this order wasn’t theirs, and they couldn’t find my order number. Because they were no longer “mumcevher,” they used this as an excuse to evade responsibility. Trendyol responded that they allow sellers to change their names. I explained that because of the name change, the seller refused responsibility, and I emphasized that the product seemed counterfeit. Trendyol has been delaying for almost a week, repeatedly telling me they would investigate. Finally, they sent me a generic email unrelated to my specific complaint, claiming they monitor authenticity closely—clearly a careless response aimed at deceiving only those unfamiliar with the issue. They suggested returning the product but indicated that it would depend entirely on the seller’s discretion. However, since the seller had changed their name, they continue to deny any association with my purchase. I intend to use all my legal rights against both the seller who changed their name and sold counterfeit products and Trendyol itself. You cannot gamble with the health of my pets or any other animals. This issue is far more important than your greed for money. This was my last purchase from Trendyol, a platform that prioritizes its interests, supports fraudulent sellers, and contributes to harming animals. I will absolutely not let this matter rest. You cannot poison voiceless animals.
