About 2.5 years ago, I purchased a Tom Ford TF5617B glasses frame from Göz Grup Optik in Esenyurt, Istanbul, paying over ₺4,000. For the first two years, I did not experience any issues. However, in recent months, the glasses began slipping down my nose and would no longer sit firmly. Since I thought it was not a serious issue, I continued using them. By mid-July, a crack had started on the side of the frame, which I did not initially notice. By the end of August, the glasses had completely broken apart.

Due to being away on vacation, I could not take them to the store immediately. After returning, I brought the product back to the store where I purchased it. The store sent the glasses for inspection to Tom Ford, and about three weeks later, I was informed by phone that it was deemed user error and that since the two-year warranty had expired, nothing could be done.

This explanation is unacceptable. I have always handled my glasses with great care—I only use them at home, I clean them regularly, I never drop them, and I always remove them with both hands. My previous glasses lasted me nine years without any problems. For such an expensive pair from a luxury brand, I did not expect them to break this easily or to receive no support from Tom Ford.

I am requesting a free repair or replacement of my glasses. I also want my grievance acknowledged and resolved. After this disappointing experience, I have completely lost trust in Tom Ford and do not intend to purchase from the brand again.
