The Ritz-Carlton Parking Double Charged My Credit Card
On August 17, 2025, I used the parking garage at The Ritz-Carlton, which is managed by EFM Facility Management Inc. When I exited the parking garage, I paid $14. However, due to a system error, the same amount was charged to my account a second time, leaving me with a total charge of $28.
I noticed the duplicate charge immediately and emailed the company with my payment receipt and screenshots of the transaction. I also spoke with company representatives several times, and each time I was assured that the duplicate $14 charge would be refunded to my bank account. Eventually, the person who identified himself as the facility manager stopped answering my phone calls and messages altogether.
It has now been two months, and I still have not received the promised refund. The company already has my bank account information and all the necessary documentation.
A company of this size should not repeatedly promise a refund and then fail to follow through. I request the immediate refund of the duplicate $14 charge and a written explanation for the delay. I also want this complaint to remain public so other customers are aware of my experience.
