Temu Failed to Protect My Card Info—Unauthorized Charge Attempted Without Consent

I previously made several purchases from Temu using my credit card. Some time later, I received alerts from my bank’s mobile app indicating that Temu attempted to charge my card without my knowledge or consent. At first, the transactions failed due to an incorrect CVV2 security code, so I assumed it was a harmless error.
However, today, I received another alert—this time indicating that someone had correctly entered my CVV2 code, and a new unauthorized purchase attempt was made through Temu. Thankfully, I immediately declined the transaction and contacted my bank, which helped me cancel the card and block all further activity.
This clearly means that Temu failed to protect my card information, and it has been compromised through their system. I have screenshots, in-app messages, and documented calls with my bank confirming the unauthorized attempt.
While I managed to avoid financial loss thanks to quick action, the fact that my card info was used without permission is unacceptable. Temu is responsible for storing and protecting customer payment data, and in this case, they have completely failed.
I demand that Temu investigate this breach immediately, strengthen its security protocols, and publicly acknowledge its role in this data leak. I’m not pursuing legal action only because no funds were stolen, but I strongly warn others: delete Temu and avoid entering your card information.
This is a serious breach of trust, and I will not be using Temu again.
