On December 27, 2023, we purchased a Teka built-in oven as a gift for my grandmother. While the oven was still under warranty, rust began forming inside the interior cavity, but due to her age, she was unable to notice the issue at the time. By the time we discovered the problem, the warranty period had just recently expired. The oven was used for an average of about five months per year, meaning it was not heavily used at all, and no chemical cleaning products were used during cleaning. Despite this limited and careful use, the fact that rust developed in such a short time has completely destroyed our trust in Teka as a brand and in the quality of its products.
After the issue became apparent, we expected Teka to stand behind its product—especially considering that built-in appliances are purchased with the expectation of long-term use. However, when we contacted an authorized Teka service center, we were asked to pay a service fee, and our request for a free replacement was firmly rejected. Despite the rust problem having started before the warranty expired and being clearly visible inside the oven, Teka chose to take no initiative. This clearly shows that customer satisfaction is not being given the importance it deserves.
Based on this experience, I no longer consider Teka to be a high-quality or reliable brand. I believe that instead of placing the responsibility on the customer, Teka should take responsibility for the product quality issue related to this oven that rusted in such a short period of time. I request that this oven, whose interior cavity has rusted, be replaced at no cost, or that a clear, concrete, and permanent solution be provided to fully address our grievance.
