Superprof Needs to Cancel My Membership and Refund My Money

I created a student/parent account on Superprof in order to find a piano teacher for my child. During the registration process, it was stated that a one-time fee would only be charged if the teacher accepted the lesson request. Based on this information, I completed the process believing it was only a single payment.

However, I later discovered that membership fees had been regularly charged to my credit card for approximately one year without my knowledge or explicit consent. In total, around $50 was withdrawn from my card. During this entire period, I do not remember being shown any clear approval screen, nor do I recall being properly informed that the membership would automatically renew every month.

When I contacted the website administrators regarding the issue, they responded by telling me to check my email inbox and claimed that emails had been sent informing me that the membership renewed monthly. I do not believe that simply sending an email gives the company the right to automatically charge my credit card every month without my clear and informed consent, and I consider this situation extremely unfair.

I request that Superprof refund all membership fees collected over approximately one year without my permission or awareness and that my membership be canceled immediately.
