SunExpress Flight Delay and Lost Luggage: Left Waiting and Disappointed
On November 1, 2024, I boarded a SunExpress flight from Gaziantep Airport to Düsseldorf at 4:50 PM. The flight was delayed by 40 minutes, and upon arrival, we waited an additional 40 minutes at baggage claim. To our frustration, three of our bags didn’t arrive. When we inquired about the issue, we were told that SunExpress prioritizes luggage based on extra purchased weight, meaning paid-for kilograms are given preference over standard allowances. This is incredibly disappointing.
When we asked when we could expect our bags, we were told they would arrive at our address in three days, but I have little faith that they’ll be delivered. This experience has been deeply frustrating, and I regret choosing SunExpress.
