On March 25, 2026, at approximately 8:20 PM, an attempt was made—without my knowledge or authorization—to load $500 into a Steam Wallet on a Steam account that does not belong to me using my card information. Thanks to my bank’s security measures, $300 of this transaction was blocked, but $200 went through, resulting in a financial loss of $200. This charge was completely unauthorized.
As soon as I noticed the situation, I contacted my bank and was advised to file a dispute/chargeback request. I have all relevant documentation, including the transaction receipt and bank authorization records, and I can provide them upon request.
I am requesting that the Steam account involved in this unauthorized transaction be identified, that the transaction be thoroughly investigated, and that the necessary steps be taken to refund the $200 unauthorized charge. Additionally, I ask that appropriate security measures be implemented to prevent similar incidents involving my account and card information in the future.
