Steam Wallet Not Credited and No Refund After Debit Card Charge
On March 23, 2026, at 11:27 PM, I added $100 to my Steam Wallet using my Akbank debit card. Although the charge appears to have been successfully processed on my card, the funds were never credited to my Steam Wallet, and they have also not been refunded back to my bank account.
After experiencing this issue, I contacted both Akbank customer service and Steam Support. Akbank confirmed that the payment was successfully processed and transferred to Steam. However, Steam has stated that they will not recognize the payment and will not take any action. Despite having the payment receipt, it has been five days, and I still have neither the funds in my Steam Wallet nor a refund to my account.
In this situation, both my bank and Steam are pointing to each other, leaving me stuck in the middle and financially affected by a missing payment. I am requesting that the $100 be refunded to my account as soon as possible.
