Unauthorized Starread Technology Charge, Refund and Account Security Request

On October 24, 2026 at around 7:19 PM, an amount of ₱699.00 was deducted from my GCash account for a transaction under the name “Starread Techno / Starread Technology Limited” with reference number 111783864. I did not make, approve, or knowingly participate in any transaction with this merchant, and I did not authorize my GCash account to be linked to Starread Technology Limited in any way. This charge is completely unauthorized and I consider it a fraudulent or erroneous deduction from my GCash balance. I am also aware that there was a prior ₱1.00 test charge to the same merchant, which reinforces my concern that my account was used or linked without my explicit consent. I am requesting a full refund of the ₱699.00 unauthorized deduction (and the earlier ₱1.00 test charge, if applicable) back to my GCash account, and I ask that a thorough investigation be conducted into this transaction under the merchant name “Starread Technology Limited / Starread Techno.” I also request that my GCash account be secured and that it be technically prevented from being linked to any merchants without a proper OTP and my clear, explicit consent, so that similar incidents will not happen again to me or to other users. I expect this issue to be handled urgently and the unauthorized charge reversed as soon as possible.
