Starbucks Serves Half-Size Pastry and Refuses Replacement or Refund
I visited the Starbucks located on Princeton Pike in Cincinnati, Ohio, and ordered a slice of strawberry matcha loaf. The slice I was given was about half the size of a normal piece. When I pointed this out to the barista, I was told that nothing could be done about it, even though there were clearly larger slices of the same loaf visible in the display rack. I was further told that the larger slices were for sale the next day and that I could not have one of them. On top of this, the drive-thru at this location had been closed, and orders were only being taken inside, which created additional inconvenience for me. I found this response dismissive and not customer-focused, especially given that I had paid for what should be a standard-sized slice. No alternative or solution was offered to address the issue, despite my raising the concern on the spot. I am requesting that Starbucks provide either a refund or a proper replacement for the strawberry matcha loaf slice, or at least some form of reasonable consideration to acknowledge the poor service in this situation.
