Starbucks Sent Completely Wrong Iced Chai Tea Latte

On June 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., I placed a Starbucks order through the Trendyol GO app under order number 11350376606. I ordered an Iced Chai Tea Latte Venti, 591 ml, with oat milk, sugar-free vanilla syrup, whipped cream, and only three ice cubes. I also added specific notes asking for a stronger chai flavor and requesting that the additions be followed carefully. I selected the “I Want Service” option as well. However, the drink delivered around 5:20 p.m. under delivery number 9613556423 was completely different from what I ordered.

Although I clearly customized the drink with whipped cream, oat milk, vanilla syrup, and light ice, these additions were missing, my ice preference was ignored, and the drink I received was not the product I requested. This was not a minor difference; it was clearly the wrong item. This shows a lack of attention from Starbucks and a failure in Trendyol GO’s order control process.

I paid a total of $10, including $9 for the product and $1 for delivery. Even though I received the wrong and unrelated product, my refund request was rejected with the vague explanation that it “did not meet the refund conditions.” When I asked how receiving the wrong item could possibly fail to qualify for a refund, I was only told that the system had automatically rejected it. No clear explanation was provided.

During this process, I contacted Trendyol GO customer service three times, and I have kept screen recordings of my conversations. The first representative claimed that I had not uploaded a photo and said they could not create a refund request, even though I had already uploaded the product photo through the app. The second representative handled the matter more honestly and created the refund request. Overall, I found the customer service process inconsistent, uninformed, and poorly managed. The fact that I was first told there was “no photo” even though the image was already in the system was also very concerning.

I request a full refund for the incorrect product, compensation for the inconvenience I experienced, and a clear explanation from both Starbucks and Trendyol GO about why this mistake happened and why the customer service responses were so contradictory.
