Stanley Quencher ProTour Smells Like Gasoline From Day One
On May 18, I purchased a Stanley The Quencher ProTour Flip Straw Tumbler, 40 oz., in Pink from the Karaca store at Bodrum Avenue Mall for $65. From the very first time I used it, I noticed an extremely unpleasant gasoline-like odor coming from inside the tumbler. Knowing this wasn't normal, I went back to the Karaca store where I bought it about 20 days ago. When I described the problem to the store associate, they refused to take the product in for inspection and instead directed me to submit a service request through the Kutupayısı website. I did so that same evening, creating service ticket number 51058-55801. The following day, I received nothing more than a message suggesting I clean the product — with no inspection of any kind having taken place.I then called customer service and explained that the odor was not normal and was genuinely distressing. Despite this, they once again refused to inspect the product and simply told me: "We don't cover odor issues under warranty — try soaking it in vinegar, baking soda, or lemon." I followed every one of those cleaning suggestions to the letter, and the smell has not changed at all. The problem persists.I am deeply frustrated that neither the Karaca store nor Kutupayısı nor customer service has made any attempt to actually inspect my product — it has been brushed off at every turn. Since this odor issue strikes me as a potential health concern and has not been resolved despite every effort, my primary request is a full refund for what I consider a defective product. I am asking for a fast and permanent resolution to this situation.
