I am experiencing a serious issue with two Stanley thermoses that I purchased from Amazon at different times. With both thermoses, the exterior surface becomes hot when I pour in a hot beverage, and the products fail to keep drinks sufficiently hot. I did not expect this kind of performance from a vacuum-insulated product that claims to maintain hot and cold temperatures.
I purchased the 1.9-liter Stanley thermos from Amazon in 2021 and the 1-liter Stanley thermos in 2023, also through Amazon. Over time, both products developed the same problem: the outer surface heats up and they no longer keep beverages hot. Currently, both thermoses have the same defect. I purchased them through Amazon under order numbers 4054159778-7987522 and 4087546924-8745901.
After experiencing the issue, I contacted Amazon customer service. I was told that the 1-liter thermos was shipped from Germany and therefore was not eligible for a refund or replacement. For the other thermos, I was told that a replacement was not possible and that I could only receive a refund of $16, even though the product’s current value is $63. The fact that both products are defective and that my issue is being addressed in this way has been extremely disappointing.
My request to Amazon is that my situation be fully resolved for both Stanley thermoses. The products should either be replaced, or if a refund is issued, it should reflect the current selling price. I expect proper after-sales support that matches the reputation of both the brand and the platform, without causing me financial loss due to defective products.
